Paige's References

Thomas Leuenberger
President - Nelson Electric

I was recently present at a motivational presentation given at the Racine Founders Rotary Club in Racine, Wisconsin. Our guest speaker was Paige Weslaski. Ms. Weslaski proved herself a very competent public speaker. She was able to keep her audience well absorbed in the details of her presentation. Her poise and professionalism at the podium were evident in both the style and content of her talk. Observing a confident young person speaking to a mature and experienced group and holding their interest and attention certainly spoke well of Paige's abilities. It was a pleasure to hear her talk and express her personal experiences and ideas.

I had the privilege to meet Paige through a communication class we took together at Pepperdine. She immediately stood out from other students with her bubbly personality and charisma. Paige was always committed to giving her best in everything she was involved in. Impressively, Paige excelled in her course work, her position as server operator and writer for Newswaves and The Graphic, her active membership in the Alpha Phi Sorority, and her passion for giving back through various community service events. I'm looking forward to the wonderful things Paige has ahead of her. Her strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and effervescent personality will help her succeed in whatever she wishes to accomplish.

Michael Murrie
Professor - Communication Division
Pepperdine University

I know Paige Weslaski as a volunteer for a student produced television newscast called Newswaves. Pepperdine transmits the newscast live on Charter Cable channel 32 in Malibu and parts of Calabasas as well as on Verizon Fios channel 21 in the same area.

In the spring semester of 2012 Paige took the position as server operator when we were having difficulty filling the position. It is a high stress responsibility of playing all the videos on cue during the live newscast. Paige has also served as a writer for Newswaves and for the student newspaper, the Graphic. Paige served well in these positions while at the same time maintaining a 3.7 grade point average. We look forward to her returning in some new responsibilities in student media the fall of 2012.

Lisa Schmidt
Counselor - J. I. Case High School
Racine, WI

It has been my distinct pleasure to be Paige Weslaski's guidance counselor. She is a very intelligent, determined, and motivated young woman with excellent communication skills. She has a very enthusiastic and bubbly demeanor. She always puts forth 100% in all her endeavors. If the going gets rough, she never quits, she becomes more determined than ever to complete her task. If things don't go her way, she takes it in stride and carries on. She is definitely a team player as well, as evidenced by her participation on Case High School's swim team.

Paige always strives to do her best and doesn't always choose the easy route. She has elected to take International Baccalaureate classes to constantly challenge her and strive for more. She definitely has taken advantage of her time in high school. She's made the most of her opportunities. For those reasons and many more, Paige will be very successful in all she endeavors to do after high school. I would not hesitate to recommend her for broadcast journalism. I feel she has the skills necessary to be successful in this area.

Paul Ivkovich
Head Instructor - John Robert Powers Acting & Modeling Academy
Brookfield, WI

In the short time that I have known Paige, I have been remarkably impressed by her maturity and strength as a performer. I have worked with hundreds of young actors and actresses since joining John Robert Powers, but I have rarely seen a performer who possesses both the maturity to handle complex emotional roles, as well as the strength to make them come alive for an audience. Paige is a brilliant young actress who is really beginning to explore her comedic talents, while maintaining the focus and commitment necessary to perform more serious roles.

The qualities I admire most in Paige, however, are her patience and humility. I often find that working with young actors can sometimes be quite challenging, especially when attempting to keep them focused and motivated for their performances. Paige never lacks the ability to stay on task, and is diligent about staying committed to the demands of a role. She has shown patience beyond her years, in working with students below her performance level, but still maintains a helpful attitude of positive encouragement and support when they struggle. She also demonstrates remarkable humility and grace, when accepting accolades and praise from her fellow students and casting directors. That can be a rare thing in today's world, especially when considering Paige's natural talent and ability. She regularly surpasses my expectations, and surprises me with the depth of her performances.

Paige is an extraordinary talent, who would certainly be a welcome addition to any film or television set, because she welcomes challenges and strives for continual self-improvement. She would not be the type of actress to become complacent in her desire to perform at higher and higher levels, and I expect her to make quite an impact in Hollywood. Best of luck, Paige!

Paige has attended the USPA Digital Film Camp at Pepperdine University for the past three years, and she's an excellent worker who gets along great with the other campers. She's the best, but we still tease her about the way she says 'Wisconsin.' You can see the documentary her group made at the website usperformingartscamps.com

I have had the joy of knowing Paige for the past 9 years. I have watched her develop into a life-embracing young lady. From her parents she has inherited an outgoing personality. She relates well with young people of all ages to adults demonstrating a willingness to involve herself on a truly personal level.

Paige has become an accomplished speaker and singer at St. Richard Parish. As she steps before a large congregation she has the gift of being at ease as she draws in everyone present. She brings with her a smile on her face and shares it with all.

I had the opportunity to observe her this month (December) at her parent's business Christmas party. The event was attended by several hundred adults many of whom were not known to Paige. She moved from adult to adult, welcoming them with the grace of one beyond her years.

I have had the blessing of knowing many young people throughout my 28 years at the Parish. Paige with her gifts and willingness to share them is at the top of my list. I am truly confident that Paige will succeed in all that she attempts in this life.

As Principal of St. Richard School, I am writing on behalf of Paige Weslaski. Paige is an excellent student. She demonstrates fine study habits. She relates well with her peers as well as with her teachers.

Paige is also our present Student Council President. She has shown great leadership. Paige was instrumental in making our recent canned food drive a big success. In working with Paige, I have found her to both respectful and courteous.

Paige Weslaski is an asset to our school. I am proud that she is a student of St. Richard School.

Patricia A. Kramer
St. Richard School

I have known Paige for four years, and she possesses all of the qualities for success.

Paige was a student of mine. She was one of those special students who excelled in all areas not only because of her academics but because of her self-motivation and drive. It was not uncommon for her to go above what was expected.

She also has a delightful personality. She is friends with everyone and works well with her peers as well as adults. Assuming responsibility is something Paige always does, and it is exhibited in her role as Student Council president.

Paige was chosen to attend the Youth Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. She was very involved in the convention. When she returned, she was enthusiastic and shared her experiences with her classmates.

The enthusiasm, responsibility, and involvement of Paige far exceed her years, and she will certainly be missed when she graduates.

I am pleased to write a reference for Paige. Paige is a pleasure to have in class because she is not only an excellent student academically, she is a class leader as well. She is popular and respected by students and staff. One of the best students I've ever had!

I particularly enjoyed having Paige as a member of my Drama Club at St. Richard's. She is a natural actress with great stage presence. She did a great job and always came to rehearsals prepared. She is an asset to the Drama Club as well as to the school.

Science Olympiad Advisor
St. Richard School

Paige Weslaski is a fine student who puts forth lots of effort in her classes. She submits her assignments neatly and in a timely manner, and does well in group project work. Her position in the school's student council reflects her acceptance by the student body and her willingness to be a part of an organization that can make a difference for her school's future.

Paige would be a valuable asset to any organization she would become a member of.

Frank A. Michalowski
Coach
Southeastern Aquatics Swim Team

I have been fortunate to have coached Paige as a club swimmer for Southeastern Aquatics during her age group years, and four years as her head swim coach at the high school level.

Paige has a great work ethic, does everything she's told, and every day at practice she sets the standard by trying to improve on her technique and swimming faster than everybody. She has a highly competitive nature and shows patience in setting and achieving her goals. She demonstrates true dedication to the sport of swimming, always striving for improvement and is always ready to do what is required and more. She always pushes herself to the limit in practices always wanting to get better and doing any little thing to improve her performances.

Paige is well disciplined and very coach-able. If asked, she can swim anything. No matter what event I put her in, she could do a good job for us. You never have to worry about her not giving it her all in workouts or at meets. Some swimmers, you have to find the buttons to push, but with her, you knew she was going to do her best every time she swam.

Paige is also a very responsible and a well-disciplined individual who takes pride in whatever she does. She sets goals and works hard to achieve them. I've come to know her as someone I could depend on in all situations.

Paige has been able to balance a tight schedule of swimming and academics in the International Baccalaureate program at Case high school. She display's a strong work ethic both in and out of the swimming pool. Her present GPA of 4.06 speaks for itself.

It's been an exciting ride watching her blossom from a little age group swimmer to one of the state's best swimmers. High school swimming has been a big part of her life. She is by far one of the best high school swimmers Racine County has ever seen.

I find Paige to be focused and well disciplined. She is a true athlete; the one who is admired because she has achieved the integration of mind and body that is the model for all swimmers; because she is not only a fine athlete, but an outstanding human being as well and a role model for the team. She exhibited the virtues/values of sportsmanship, attitude, pride, respect, and hard work which helped her the past three seasons and will carry over to next season. I firmly believe that the qualities that Paige demonstrates as an athlete will guide her through a successful college career.

Neil Wright
Head Coach
Southeastern Aquatics Swim Team

As head coach of South Eastern Aquatics Swim Team (SEAY) I have had the pleasure and honor to coach some of the finest swimmers southeastern Wisconsin has produced. In terms of ability, commitment to the training process, a willingness to learn daily, and a dedication to perform well in school and develop into solid citizens, I have seen the cream of the crop walk in and out of the SEAY swim team program. Without reservations, I submit this letter of recommendation for Paige Weslaski who, over the past year, has demonstrated a strong work ethic, an ability to work well with others, and commitment to the sport of swimming matched by some of the best swimmers I've had the pleasure to work with over the past fifteen years.

Paige joined SEAY four years ago and has progressed through the program rapidly. She currently trains with the top group on the team - Senior 2. She has learned to balance her busy schedule and find time to attend practice regularly and compete in weekend meets.

Paige is a joy to have on the team and I'm looking forward to her continued development as a swimmer, but more importantly as a young adult, student, and citizen. With her infectious smile and positive work ethic, Paige is developing the tools necessary to go far in swimming and life and in my opinion as an asset worth having in any organization.
